Typical applications
Round bar is one of the most widely used engineering materials. It is machined into shafts, axles, pins, bushes, fasteners, valve and pump components and fittings, and used as-is for supports, braces and frames. Whether you are in the marine, chemical or automotive industry, our round bars offer the performance and durability you need.
Which grade should I choose?
For general work, 304 is the usual choice. Move to 316 for coastal, marine or chemical exposure. Choose 303 for parts that need a lot of machining, 431 where higher strength is needed, and 310 or the nickel alloys for high-temperature service. If you are unsure, tell us about the application and our team will advise.
